WAITING LIST: Summer Kids Mountain Bike Camp
THIS IS A WAITING LIST for Mountain Bike Camp. Please select a date and age group and complete the entire transaction as if you are making a purchase. You won't be charged. If a spot opens up, we'll contact you with a registration link.

Summer Kids Mountain Bike Camp
To keep kids active and offer families a summer camp option, TUNA has created summer mountain bike camps this year.
For more information, please read the information page for Summer Kids Mountain Bike Camp
YOU MUST BE A TUNA MEMBER. If you are already a member for the 2020/2021 winter season, you should have no problem signing up. If you are not, then we are offering a pro-rated membership for this. This has to be done in a separate transaction prior to registering for the camp. You can find that, HERE.
JOIN AND LOG IN FIRST. If you are not logged in, the system will not recognize you as a member even if you are.
WAITING LIST. Many camp spots have already filled, so we have created a waiting list. It's entirely possible that age groups will be rearranged to accommodate you, so joining the waiting list could result in a spot in a camp that is already full. Joining the waiting list is free, and you can do that HERE.
PARTICIPANTS MUST SIGN A WAIVER. The waiver consists of two steps, so be sure to check your email after signing the waiver for a verification. You can sign the waiver on the blue tab at the bottom of the page or HERE. We only need one waiver per child for the entire session.

Protected: Summer Teambuilding for Jr. Comp, Comp, and XC
Summer Ski Training and Teambuilding
Who: Jr. Comp, Comp, and XC athletes in grades 6 and up, all abilities When: May 1 – August 27 Where: Salt Lake and surrounding areas Why: To build skiers for next winter, and to create a team community for ALL athletes and their families Days: 2, 4, or 6-day options Features: Year-long training plan integrated with other sports, daily on-site, in-person, individual coaching, video analysis, strength (specific and general), teambuilding.Skiers are Made in the Summer
There is a saying that “skiers are made in the summer.” Most of the conditioning skiers gain during the year is between May and October—and that’s many more months than the race season. With all the sports and activities out there, today’s teens are busy year-round.Integrated with Other Sports
This program will integrate other sports training (mountain bike and running especially) to take care not to duplicate those hours. At the same time, it will focus on the critical ski-specific conditioning that can leave winter-only skiers feeling like their fitness or skill could be better. We will focus on the aspects of ski fitness that are not covered in running and mountain bike riding for those who are training for other sports.Individual Plan
It begins with an individual plan for each athlete that begins on May 1 and carries through to the winter ski season. This plan will include individual goals and self-tracking so that skiers will take ownership of their progress. Coaches will work together with the entire team (other sports coaches, parents, and skiers) to create a plan that works for their schedule and the days they are choosing ski practice.Team Plan
While skiing is largely an individual sport, there is a large part of success in skiing that comes out of being part of a cohesive team. That will be a top goal for this year: creating a team that can rely on each other, push each other, support each other. We're better together. It can be tricky to integrate everyone's training plans. With excellent planning, the coaches will find ways to differentiate each day in a way that challenges every child, while leaving nobody behind. The Focus is on Fun
Most of all, the focus will be on working together in a group to build a team who help each other achieve their individual and team goals. The emphasis is on how all of this work can be fun when it’s done well, and that’s the plan.Coaches and Coordinators
